What to Expect
WE RECOGNIZE THAT IT CAN BE A LITTLE INTIMIDATING to find your way around a new place. To help visitors become familiar with our church, friendly members and staff are on hand to help you find your way around. If you have any questions, just look for the welcome crew with the orange lanyards once you arrive. We look forward to meeting you at one of our gatherings throughout the week!
Every week, Broadway offers a Sunday morning worship gathering at 9:30 am. We believe there’s something unique about being in a community of believers to help encourage you on your faith journey.
The first thing you will probably notice is that there are no instruments. That’s not an accident. We come from a rich heritage of vocal music that emphasizes simplicity, participation, and community. We sing a mix of contemporary and traditional songs that help those worshipping to rejoice and reflect. Most guests are inspired by the fusion of harmonies and the volume of hundreds of voices lifted in praise!
Communion & Offering
Every Sunday, we celebrate Jesus’ body and blood through a meal involving bread and grape juice. We call it communion, but some may call it the Lord’s Supper. The purpose of this celebration is three-fold: to remind the church of the new covenant with God through the sacrifice of Jesus, to live transformed because his power is at work within us, and to remain connected to other disciples. We also take up a weekly offering to help advance God’s Kingdom both locally and abroad. As a guest, you are not expected to make an offering. Offerings are made by our members as part of their commitment to God and the church.
What to Wear
On Sunday morning, you will see people dressed in a wide range of attire from jeans to dress clothes. We want everyone to feel at home. At Broadway, we care more about your heart than your clothes.
What to Bring
The main things we’d love for you to bring is an open heart and an open mind. If you have a Bible, we’d love for you to bring it. If you do not have a Bible, we will help provide you with one.
Adult Bible Classes
We also offer Sunday Bible classes that meet after our worship gathering. At Broadway, we want to cultivate a flourishing environment of discipleship where we can dig deeper into God’s word. We do this by providing classes that focus on living out the message of Christ.
Youth Bible Classes
Whether you are new to the faith or someone with many Bible classes under your belt, there is a class perfect for you. In addition to our adult Bible classes, there are classes geared toward younger age groups such as middle-school and high school students.
What About My Kids
Children are very important at the Broadway church. You are more than welcome to have your children in our gatherings. However, if you would like a “wiggle-free” worship time, our children’s ministry offers Children’s worship for kids ages two to six. Also, we offer a nursery for those who are under two years old. After we sing a song just for our little ones, our worship leader will instruct you that it is time for children’s church. Your children will be in a safe, friendly environment where they can learn more about God!
A Gift for Our Guests
When you attend, we will ask you to fill out a connection card, which we will gladly exchange for a gift. First-time visitors are encouraged to pick-up their gift at our Connections Center in the lobby.
