In the winter of 2007 and 2008, Broadway produced and aired a four part television series Biblion: Bible Mysteries Revealed on NBC. Kyle Lake of Prosper Media Group in Lexington, Kentucky worked with Dr. Dan Owen and Mike Moore to produce Biblion. The first series aired again this summer throughout Western Kentucky, Southern Illinois, West Tennessee and Southeastern Missouri.
The "History Channel-style" shows were based upon Dan Owen's books, How We Got the Bible. The series identified the origin of the Bible, explained the canon of scripture and how the particular books of the Bible came to be included in it, and detailed how the Bible text was accurately preserved through the centuries. The final program examined the history of the English Bible.
The second series of Biblion: Bible Mysteries Revealed premiered in the summer of 2008 on NBC. It has aired on three other occasions. The four part series explains: 1) Mysteries of the Death & the Afterlife, 2) Mysteries of Baptism, 3) Mysteries of Angels & Demons, and 4) Mysteries of the "Historical Jesus."
Series three of Biblion called Mysteries of the Apocalypse aired in January and February 2010! The series explains the mysteries of Revelation and exposes many popular misconceptions. Check us out at www.biblionshow.com or you may see clips of the show on YouTube.
All three series are available on DVD. Congregations and home study groups have used the shows for special classes and community outreach. They are available by contacting the office. A donation of $13 helps cover the costs of production.
