The Bear Ministry provides stuffed bears to children in area hospitals and health care facilities to use in caring for these little ones who need a little extra comfort during a tramatic time. Ladies and gentlemen at Broadway make about 2,300 bears each year, using teams of volunteers who wash fabric, cut the patterns, paint faces and hearts on the bears, sew them up, stuff them and place ribbons around their necks. Each team makes 15 bears each month. Then they are distributed to children around the Paducah area!
